Auto Injury Insurance Care

Home Care and Caregiver Support After a Motor Vehicle Accident

With auto insurance being mandatory in Ontario, your policy will typically cover post-accident medical and home care services—up to the limits of your coverage.

If you or a loved one has been involved in a serious motor vehicle accident, first contact your insurance company and lawyer to understand your rights and coverage. Then, reach out to In-Home Assisted Living for professional home care and caregiver support during recovery.

We provide Attendant Home Care services with certified caregivers and registered Personal Support Workers (PSWs) for both catastrophic and non-catastrophic claims, with direct billing to your insurance company.

We Collaborate Closely With Your Care Team

As a registered provider with Health Claims for Auto Insurance (HCAI), we help you access the coverage you’re entitled to—assisting with claim reports, documentation, and coordination between your insurance, legal, and medical teams.

We work directly with your Occupational Therapist (OT), Case Manager, or Personal Injury Lawyer to ensure approved home care and caregiver services are delivered through your insurance Form 1 Attendant Care or OCF-18 coverage.

Depending on your policy, covered home care services may include:

·     Full-time or part-time caregiver and attendant care during recovery

·     Occupational and community home care assistance

·     Support with therapy regimens and medical equipment use

·     Home upkeep, light housekeeping, and daily living support

·     Transportation to and from medical or rehabilitation appointments

Occupational Therapists, Case Managers, and Personal Injury Lawyers are welcome to contact us directly to learn more about our protected home care model and confidential service options.

Our Auto Injury Insurance Care includes:

  • Personal Care & Comfort

Everyday tasks—like bathing, grooming, or getting ready for bed—are handled with patience and dignity. Caregivers provide gentle support that helps seniors feel refreshed, comfortable, and respected.

  • Emotional Support & Companionship

A familiar, steady presence makes all the difference. Live-in caregivers offer warm conversation, quiet reassurance, and companionship that eases loneliness and brings comfort around the clock.

  • Meal Preparation & Nutrition

From preparing favorite recipes to following dietary restrictions, caregivers make mealtimes safe, nourishing, and enjoyable.

  • Mobility & Fall Prevention

A steady hand provides confidence for safe movement, light exercise, and walks. Caregivers help reduce the risk of falls while encouraging independence.

  • Safe & Nurturing Home Environment

We help identify potential hazards and suggest small, practical changes that create a safer, more supportive living space.

  • Daily Living Support

From dressing to meal prep, we encourage independence where possible, stepping in only when needed—always with patience and encouragement.

  • Medication Management

Our caregivers ensure prescriptions are taken correctly and on time, reducing stress for families and maintaining consistency in care.

  • Homemaking and Housekeeping Services

While our caregivers are on-site they also assist with light chores and housekeeping services. Our Caregivers help with vacuuming, tubs & toilets, changing bed linens, kitchen & dishes, laundry, ironing, plant care, and other household chores.

At In-Home Assisted Living, we believe home care is about more than tasks—it’s about connection, dignity, and trust. With our support, your loved one can continue to enjoy the comfort, familiarity, and independence of home, while you find peace of mind knowing they’re in caring hands.
