Mississauga Home Care — FAQs
What home care services do you offer in Mississauga?
We provide senior home care, dementia and Alzheimer’s care, live-in caregiver support, hospital bedside care, short-term respite, and auto-injury home care for a little as 4 hours per shift up to 24 hours daily.
How quickly can care start in Mississauga?
In many cases we begin services within 24 hours after an initial care consultation and safety assessment. We can also help with same day hospital discharge and same day emergencies.
Do you serve neighbourhoods like Port Credit and Erin Mills?
Yes. We serve communities across Mississauga including Port Credit, Streetsville, Erin Mills, Cooksville, Meadowvale, Hurontario, Clarkson, Lakeview, and Malton.
Are your caregivers trained in dementia and Alzheimer’s care?
Yes. Our caregivers receive focused training in dementia and Alzheimer’s care, communication techniques, behaviour support, and safety in the home. Most important in dementia care is having the same caregivers available who become familiar with your loved one. Creating consistency and familiarity is one of our highest priorities.
Do you coordinate with hospitals for bedside care?
We work alongside hospital staff to provide bedside companionship, personal care, mobility assistance, and discharge support for a safe transition home. Hospital nurses welcome our qualified bedside support to help with transfers, feeding, personal care and to advocate for each patient.
What payment options are available?
Services are typically private-pay. We accept all forms of payment including auto debit, credit cards, cheque and some clients may have coverage through auto insurance (after a motor vehicle accident) or extended health plans. We are approved by the FSCO (Financial Services Commission of Ontario) authorizing us to direct bill your insurance company in most cases.
